| Class Time | 7:30- 10:30pm (or so!) This class will require some time outside of class. There will be work to do to prepare for class. | |||||||||
| Who | Everyone is welcome to join this class. It is for all levels. It is also not just for actors. This is a great class for writers, directors and anyone interested in series and story development. If you are under 18 you will need special permission from me and your parents or guardian. Create your own work! How many times have you sat on a set thinking to yourself, "I can do this!" Well there has NEVER been a better time. Get on board. Now I don't want to imply that it is easy. It's not. It is only easy if you don't care about how good it is. It takes work, but YOU can do it. Especially if you know what the pros do to DEVELOP a show! The Class: In this class series we will:
The Deal: Many of our top universities have extensive research and development departments creating some of the greatest advancements today. It is my belief that the best way to learn is to DO. I always encourage my students to create and when we create in class we will strive to create the best. We will not be doing assignments just to do them. We will aim to create professional quality product that is market worthy. ***PLEASE NOTE*** It is the intention of this class to develop quality material. While there is no guarantee, we intend to consider the possibility of marketing and pitching any creative material that comes out of this class. While all material will be owned by the school (Maureen Dempsey) any profits will be shared by all the students. All of this agreement will be in writing prior to the start of class. | Who | This is an adult workshop, 18 and over please. All adults are welcome. This is an informal workshop for all levels of experience. There is no need to prepare anything. Just come. I have scenes for you. | |

How does the class work?
It is a weekly workshop beginning at 7pm and we go until we are done.
You can leave when you need to if we are going late. Students
are not required to come every week. They come when they can so
each week the class is a little different. I can only allow
brand new students occasionally because I have to go back to my basic
techniques for them, which is a great refresher for my regulars, but
it helps if this only happens when needed and not every couple weeks.
So I am opening the class to new students at specific times.
Once you come and get the basics you will be a member and you can come anytime
you'd like.
The focus is on-camera acting. I
cover something different each week. I also follow trends in the
industry.
All Adults are welcome. This is the
Adult Class 18 and over please.
